Війна 1941–1945 рр.: витоки поняттєвого дисбалансу

Abstract

У статті обґрунтовується думка про неправомірність вживання в науковій літературі щодо українського народу дефініції «вітчизняна війна» до подій 1941-1945 рр. Автор вважає Вітчизною державу, що була створена у 1917 р. під назвою Українська Народна Республіка. Збройна інтервенція та захоплення більшовицькою Росією території УНР у 1917-1918 рр., унеможливило подальший політико-правовий зв’язок українців у складі СРСР з поняттям «вітчизна». The article gives reasoning for the idea of wrongful use in the scientific literature of a term «the Great Patriotic War» with regard to Ukrainian people when referring to the events of 1941-1945. The author believes that the patriotic homeland (fatherland) for Ukraine’s people was established in 1917 under the name of the Ukrainian People's Republic (UPR). The armed intervention of Bolshevik Russia and capture of UPR’s territory in 1917-1918 made it impossible to further on identify the Ukrainian part of the USSR either politically or legally with the term «the patriotic homeland (fatherland)».
