| Abstract: | У статті представлені дані аналізу літератури, щодо особливостей структурної організації органа зору при різних патологічних станах. Акцентується увага на морфологічних змінах ока внаслідок атеросклерозу, гла- укоми та цукрового діабету, що вважаються найчастішими етіологічними чинниками в спектрі офтальмо- логічної патології. Дослідження будови органа за допомогою гістологічного та електронно-мікроскопічного методів дозволяє встановити глибину структурних перетворень за умов патології. Кореляція між клінічною симптоматикою та морфологічними даними в черговий раз підтверджує, що підґрунтям для розвитку пато- логічного процесу є зміни в структурі органа. | Description: | This paper presents the analysis of the literature concerning the structural organization of the eye under various pathological conditions. Emphasis is made on the morphological changes of the eye due to arteriosclerosis, glaucoma and diabetes, which are considered the most common etiologic factors in the spectrum of ophthalmic pathology. The study of the organ structure by means of histological and electron microscopic methods allows to determine the depth of the structural changes under pathological conditions. Correlation between clinical symptoms and morphological data once again confirms that the basis for the development of the pathological process are changes in the structure of the body.
