Концептуальна метафора у промовах Гілларі Клінтон

Abstract

Актуальність даного дослідження визначається необхідністю вивчення мови англомовної преси з когнітивної точки зору, а також важливістю розгляду мовних технік, що забезпечують формування заданого оцінного ставлення до політика без звернення до прямої оцінки. Крім того, актуальність цього дослідження визначається важливістю вивчення глибинних закономірностей метафоризації для подальшого моделювання процесів розуміння і інтерпретації газетного/журнального тексту як частини мовної здатності людини. Основною метою роботи є вивчення умов реалізації і функціонування метафоричних концептів, які забезпечують створення прагматично-орієнтованого образу політичного діяча в англомовній пресі. Зміст статті обумовлений тим, що в ній обґрунтована роль концептуальної метафори як одного з механізмів оцінної репрезентації політика в американській пресі. The relevance of this study is to further study English press from a cognitive point of view as well as the importance of considering language technologies, ensuring the formation of a given assessment relation to the policy without resorting to direct assessment. In addition, the relevance of this study is determined by the importance of studying the underlying patterns of metaphorization for further modeling of the processes of understanding and interpretation of the newspaper/magazine text as part of language abilities. The main purpose of work is studying of conditions of implementation and functioning of metaphorical concepts that enable the creation of a pragmatically-oriented image of the politician in the English-language press. The content of the article justifies the role of conceptual metaphor as a mechanism of appraisal of the representation of poticians in the English and American press.
