| Abstract: | For the first time, the phase equilibria in the system K2TeBr6–K2TeI6 have been studied using differential thermal analysis (DTA) and X-ray powder diffraction technique (XRD). It was established that the system is characterized by the formation of the b extreme solid solutions based on the high-temperature modification of K2TeI6 and by the formation of the a continuous series of solid solutions between K2TeBr6 and the low-temperature modification of K2TeI6. The eutectic type of interaction in the system has been explained using the crystal chemistry approach. |
