Abstract:	Studies of morphology of paratellurite crystals depending on their growth conditions are reported. The specific features of formation of the single crystal conic part at slight overcooling of tellurium dioxide melt are elucidated. An essential anisotropy of crystallization rates in tangential direction is shown as well as the effect of heat removal from the crystallization front on the axial increment value. Experimentally crystals with pronounced crystallographic faces were grown as well as distorted paratellurite crystals. Crystallographic plane bending along the crystal axis is observed as a result of shift of adjacent crystal layers.
