Локализация печенегов в Карпатском бассейне

Abstract

Современные данные археологии позволяют определить Верхнее Потисье как основную территорию проникновения значительной группы печенегов с Северного Причерноморья в Карпатский бассейн в конце Х в. Эти племена фиксируются по инвентарю хазарского, славянского и норманского происхождения, попавшего к ним перед разгромом Хазарского каганата в 965 г., во время уничтожения в 70 - 80-х гг. Х в. тиверских городищ Пруто-Днестровского междуречья, и убийства в 972 г. на днепровских порогах князя Святослава. Скорее всего, проникновение кочевников в Верхнее Потисье непопулярным для кочевых народов маршрутом - через Карпатские перевалы вызвали внутренние конфликты Степи. В ходе переселения отряды печенегов подверглись нападению со стороны дружины князя Владимира возле горных перевалов. Хронологически указанные события можно связать с походом князя на города Перемышль и Червен в 981 г. Свидетельством ударов по отдельным печенежским отрядам были клады арабских дирхемов, оставленные номадами возле Карпат (Галич, Перемышль, Хустский р-н).

Modern archeological data allows defi ning of Upper Tisza region as the main territory of infi ltration of the considerably big group of Pechenegy from the Northern Black Sea area to Carpathian basin in X AD. These tribes were defi ned by the inventory of Khazar, Slavic, and Norman origin. They have gotten it on the eve of Khazar Khanate defeat in 965, during the devastation of Tiver fortifi ed settlements on Prut and Dniester rivers in 70-80s of X AD, and homicide of the Prince Svyatoslav at the Dnieper thresholds in 972. Likely the infi ltration of the nomads in the Upper Tisza region, using “unpopular” among the nomadic tribes route - through the Carpathian passes, has been caused by the internal confl icts in the Steppe. During the resettlement the units of Pechenegy suffered the assault of the Prince Volodymyr warriors at the mountainous passes. Chronologically these events can be connected to the raid of the prince to the towns of Peremyshl and Cherven in 981. The treasures of Arabic dirhams, left by the nomads at Carpathians (Halych, Peremyshl, Khust district) are the evidences of the assaults on some of Pechenegy units.
