Дидактико-методологічні засади навчання студентів фахової термінологічної лексики у процесі професійної іншомовної підготовки

Abstract

Стаття актуалізує питання вивчення фахової термінологічної лексики на заняттях іноземної мови як невід’ємної складової подальшої професійної компетентності студентів. Автор вказує на характерні особливості термінологічної лексики залежно від ступеня спеціалізації. Особлива увага приділяється етапам навчання термінологічної лексики в межах аудиторної та позааудиторної роботи студентів. Визначається дидактичний потенціал використання інформаційних технологій у процесі професійної іншомовної підготовки студентів. Ключові слова: термінологія, фаховий, компетентність, текст, вправа.

The article deals with the issue of terminological vocabulary as the main component of students’ professional competence. The author outlines its significance and defines the peculiarities of its specialization. Particular attention is paid on the stages of terminological vocabulary teaching on the basis of professionally oriented texts in the process of self-studying as well as class work activities. Terminology is described as the study of terms and their use, which enables people in a particular industry to communicate and interact clearly. Professional and scientific terms become fundamental elements of problem-oriented dialogs and scientific texts which require special attention and educational approaches. It is identified that the stages of teaching terminological vocabulary have been correlated with the stages of activity and development of professionally oriented texts. Thus, there are three groups of tasks. The value of professional terminology in the system of well-qualified specialists training requires the constant search for modern methods and technologies.
