| Abstract: | Abstract. Effective management of cross-border cooperation is possible only under the condition of deep analysis of the socioeconomic condition of the actual border areas. The authors made an attempt to achiveit through the synthesis rate of socio-economic development - the competitiveness of regions. For this purpose, for comparative characteristics of the border regions and the level of their competitiveness in the article it is proposed to use the indicators of socio-economic integration applied by the European Commission. On the basis of the research of the western border regions of Ukraine authors made relevant conclusions and suggestions. |
