Підхід до аналізу структури міжнародних туристичних потоків України

Abstract

У статті запропоновано авторський підхід до аналізу міжнародних туристичних потоків України на осно- ві використання сучасного економетричного та статистичного інструментарію задля ідентифікації географічної струк- тури міжнародних туристичних потоків України та кількісних оцінок її складників. Основним методом аналізу обрано кластерний аналіз методом k’means засобами програмного пакету STATISTCA. За результатами кластерного аналізу отримано чотири групи (кластери) країн призначення, що відрізняються між собою за інтенсивністю і структурними характеристиками туристичних виїзних потоків з України. Реалізований авторський підхід до ідентифікації структури виїзного туристичного потоку з України дав змогу отримати модель структури цього потоку і виявити головні напрями виїзного туризму за видами.

The tourist industry is a complex of economic relations that manifests itself in the process of tourism activity in the production, distribution, exchange and consumption of a tourist product - based on economic theory. That's why it is important to develop and use modern tools for quantitative measurement of processes in this field that would allow receiving adequate assessments for the formation of conclusions and trends definition in the development of the tourism industry at global and national levels. The purpose of the article is to develop an approach to the analysis of international tourist flows of the country based on the use of modern econometric and statistical tools for identifying the geographical structure of international tourist flows of Ukraine (or any other country) by the intensity of their components. The research methodology is based on the thesis that econometric studies are capable of verifying and identifying an existing spectrum of statistical relationships in the investigated processes. Therefore, we used specialized cluster analysis as a tool for identifying these relations. Variables of clustering are absolute values of tourist flows by types of tourism. The article is devised to identify the structure of tourist flows of the country according to the criteria of intensity and the main types of tourism, having the corresponding statistical indicators in the national statistics of Ukraine, has made it possible to get the model of the structure of the tourist outflow and to estimate the intensity of flows by types of tourism. The novelty of the author's suggestions is that the proposed approach to the use of econometric instruments of cluster analysis enables to obtain clear assessments and vectors for improving the country's tourism policy, directions of regulation of tourist flows of the country, development of the tourism industry, etc. In the following works, we will improve our approach by introducing in the analysis of additional statistical characteristics and indicators recommended for the international tourism assessment by international organizations.
