Особливості стилю "Руна орошенного" Димитрія Туптала

Abstract

У статті аналізуються особливості стилю збірки оповідань-міраклів «Руно орошенноє» Димитрія Туптала. Вплив барокової практики та європейської католицької культури помітний не тільки в структурі, а й у поетиці збірки. Загалом у тогочасних риториках термінологія стилів відзначалася значним ступенем синонімії, нерідко тавтологією. Тому З. Риндух обрав 25 суттєвих термінів, які описували різновиди й відмінності стилів. Усі вони виводилися з головного дерева трьох родів мовлення (tria genera dicendi). На основі цієї класифікації спостерігаємо змішаність декількох стилів, проте головним серед них виступає поважний. Елементи ерудиційного стилю фіксуємо в цьому творі, коли автор цитує богословів, деякі наукові відомості, характерні для тогочасного автора, або теоретичні догми православ’я.

The paper analyzes the specific features of the style of«Dewy Fleece»(«Runo Oroshennуe»), themiracle short stories collection by Dymytriy Tuptalo. The influence of Baroque practice and the European Catholic culture was reflected both in the structure and poetry of the collection. Dewy Fleece («Runo Oroshennoуe») is the first book by DymytriyTuptalo that we have the knowledge about. The author is trying to describe the miracles of Mother of God’sicon, in Illinsky monastery of Chernihiv. The book’s style is regarded as peculiar and especially relevant for the analysis, due to the factthat the problem under consideration lacks sufficient attention. The paper aims at styles definition, having been used by DymytriyTuptalo, through the lens of Z. Ryndukh’s terminology. The purpose of the paper is the description of styles combination peculiarities and the usage of artistic techniques in DymytriyTuptalo’s«Dewy Fleece»(«Runo Oroshennoуe»). It has been emphasized by the authors that the terminology of styles was marked by the degree of synonymy, often tautology, making characteristic feature of the rhetoric. Therefore, Z. Ryndukh chose 25 essential terms describing the style and differences of styles. All of them have been derived from the main tree of three genuses (genera) of speech (tria genera dicendi). On the basis of this classification, the merging of several styles has been fixed. The leading role is occupied by the so called “respectable” style. The elements of «erudition» style can be seen in this work, when the author cites theologians, scientific information, characteristic of that time, a contemporary author or the theoretical dogmas of Orthodoxy. DimitriyTuptalo cited information of theological character in a timely manner, emphasizing his own opinion about the teachings of the Holy Scripture and Psalms. It is very noticeable that the author possesses good knowledge of theology, freely and timely quotes the necessary material, skillfully combining factual evidence with allegorical symbolism of phenomena. The perspective of further studies is the consideration of the Baroque sermon of the period of its development and the specifics of the Ukrainian Baroque preaching culture.
