Трансформація казки як жанру у фантастичну повість у творчості Галини Малик

Abstract

У статті досліджується трансформація літературної казки у фантастичну повість на прикладі творів Галини Малик «Злочинці з паралельного світу» та «Злочинці з паралельного світу − 2». Зроблено висновок, що в літературі ХХІ ст. простежується тенденція до модифікації жанру літературної казки. У роботі формулюються основні жанрові риси фантастичної повісті та її відмінність від авторської казки. Виявлено, що Г. Малик поєднує риси авторської казки та фантастичної повісті, щоб яскравіше висвітлити актуальні проблеми сьогодення. Вона висловлює думку про національну ідентичність народу.

The paper explores the transformation of a literary fairy tale into a fantastic story based on Halyna Malyk’s «Criminals from the Parallel World» and «Criminals from the Parallel World – 2». The relevance of the study is determined by the necessity of a thorough analysis of a literary fairy tale as a genre, undergoing new transformations in the 21st century. The purpose of our study is to trace the tendency of a literary fairy tale modification based on Halyna Malyk’s «Criminals from the Parallel World» and «Criminals from the Parallel World – 2» to draw the reader ‘s attention to the actual problems of the present time. The basic tasks of the paper are: to identify the main genre traits of the fantastic story in «Criminals from the Parallel World» and «Criminals from the Parallel World – 2»; to trace H. Malyk’s appeal to the fairytale tradition; to explore the purpose of combining the features of these two genres. It has been identified in the paper that the works of H. Malyk present the following basic genre traits of a fantastic story: 1) the existence of two interconnected worlds; 2) hero presents the essence of being, looking for the answers to eternal questions; 3) the cognitive essence of the works is limited, preserving the story of the hero, aimed at initiating cognitive processes between the reader and listener; 3) the plot has a peculiar parabolic shape; 4) the presence of a single directional conflict. At the same time, H. Malyk turns to a fairy tale tradition, intertwining the elements of wonder. It has been concluded that the tendency of literary fairy tale modification is traced in the literature of the 21 st century. The work outlines the main genre features of the fantastic story and points to its difference from the author’s fairy tale. It has been also revealed, that to highlight vividly the topical problems H. Malyk combines both the features of the author’s fairy tale and a fantastic story.
