Несиметричність термінів " мова ворожнечі" і " hate speech" як проблема української медіатеорії

Abstract

У статті йдеться про проблему некоректності терміна «мова ворожнечі», популярного в сучасних журналістикознавчих дослідженнях; із урахуванням вимог щодо конструювання й використання терміноодиниць зроблено пропозиції альтернативних варіантів окреслення нетолерантних висловлень у мас-медіа.

The article deals with the problem of incorrectness of the term «hate speech», which is popular in modern journalistic researches. Taking into account the requirements for the construction and use of terms, suggestions have been made for alternative options for defining intolerant statements in the media. The relevance of intelligence is caused by the problems of formation of the term system of Ukrainian journalism, where the basic among other things is linguistic terminology. It is primarily used in the study of various aspects of the generation and functioning of media. This is important because media text is a central concept in all areas of journalism - its history, where all the efforts of scholars are to understand precedent texts; theories and practices that are built around issues of principles and patterns of creating a journalistic text, its ideal features, features of publication and perception by the audience. Journalists, attracting the terms of linguistics, do not always take into account their conceptual content, features of use. This intelligence seeks to address the problem of the adequacy of the use of the term «мова ворожнечі («mova vorozhnechi»)» in the journalistic scientific literature at present. The main objectives here are to identify the main disadvantages of using this compound and to offer more correct options. The formulation of «expression of intolerance / inhumanity / non-humanity» is more terminologically acceptable than «мова ворожнечі («mova vorozhnechi»)». The proposed outline will help to avoid the unjustified qualification of any public statements about negative phenomena as «мова ворожнечі («mova vorozhnechi»)». Anything contrary to moral standards, humanistic ideas, legislation, etc. is negative. Being in the media, it should not be judged in the abstract («мова ворожнечі («mova vorozhnechi»)»), but specifically - as an expression of hostility, hatred, xenophobia, sexism, chauvinism, etc. And in the case of generalizations, one can use the understanding of these negative phenomena in the mass media to express intolerance / inhumanity / inhumanity.
