| Abstract: | The article is about the approaches of the American, British, German and South African political scientists to the conceptual problems of democratic transitions in Eastern Europe. One of the main topics of the discussions among them concerns the balance between the general and the peculiar in the democratic development in Eastern Europe and other regions of the world. V.Skoblyk suppose that the main problem for the researchers of the democratic transitions in Eastern Europe is to develop new research techniques and to accentuate on the causes of successful transitions in several countries. |
