Abstract

У статті розглядаються організаційні аспекти діяльності Європейського Парламенту, зміни в організаційному та правовому полі після найбільшого за всю історію розширення Європейського Союзу. Зосереджується увага на особливості внутрішньої структури Європейського парламенту як законодавчого органу Європейського Союзу. Показано, що за своєю внутрішньою організаційною структурою та порядком роботи Європейський Парламент на сучасному етапі європейської міждержавної інтеграції є максимально наближеним у структурній, розпорядчій та номінаційній площинах до класичного парламенту національної держави як обраного народом вищого представницького органу.

In the process of examining the structure and functioning of the European Parliament, it can be concluded that it is an important supranational body of the European Union with a considerable amount of authority, which has real leverage on processes occurring not only on the European continent, but throughout the world. At the same time, it is the only institution in the system of bodies of the European Union that is directly elected by citizens, in accordance with the EU Treaty.
