PROBLEMS OF TRANSFORMATION OF PUBLIC-POLITICAL COMMUNICATIONS IN MODERN SOCIETY

Abstract

The article studies the problem of transformation of the political communication system between authorities and citizens. In modern society, the state loses a monopoly on the formation of public opinion and the implementation of manipulative influences. The circle of participants in information and communication relations is expanding significantly, and the role of information, which is increasingly becoming a weapon in hybrid warfare, is changing. The following problems in the field of organization of state‐political communications in Ukrainian society are identified, such as excessive concentration on current issues and the implementation of communication mainly in the interests of power subjects. The necessity of development of strategic communications of the authorities and society for the effective protection of sovereignty and ensuring progressive development of the country is substantiated.
