Андрей Шептицький, Діонісій Няраді, Августин Волошин і Закарпаття: До питання взаємин визначних представників Греко-Католицької Церкви

Abstract

The article, based on archival and published documents, eyewitness recollections and a large body of scientific literature, attempts to highlight the relationship between Galician Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky, Apostolic Representative of Transcarpathia Dionisije Njaradi and President of Carpathian Ukraine Augustyn Voloshyn. A special attention is paid to the events that took place in Transcarpathia in the late 1930s, when the long struggle of Transcarpathian Ukrainians ended with the acquisition of autonomous rights within Czechoslovakia, and later with declaration of independence. The authors also emphasize the political relations between A. Sheptytsky and A. Voloshyn after the tragedy of Carpathian Ukraine.
