Юрій Гуца-Венелін – засновник славістичної науки в Росії

Abstract

Величественная личность Юрия Гуцы-Венелина (1802-1839), выходца из Верховины, делает честь нашему Закарпатью, Украине, России, всему славянскому миру, общеевропейской гуманитарной науке первой половины XIX века. Именно ему принадлежит приоритет в исследовательских заинтересованностях, касающихся многих вопросов славяноведения. Своими исследованиями в облааги гуманитарных наук Ю.Гуца-Венелин обогатил научную сокровищницу славянских народов, в первую очередь - болгарского, русского и украинского, поднял на новую ступень их историю, язык, фольклор, этнографию. Исследуя разные аспекты истории и культуры славянских народов, Ю.Гуца-Венелин дал целый ряд содержательных оценок, которые не потеряли своего значения до настоящего времени. Ученый стоял у колыбели русской славистики и по праву считается основоположником славистической науки в России.

An outstanding personality of Y.Hutsa-Venelin who originated from Verkhovina is honoured in Transcarpatina, in Ukraine and Russia as well as all over the Slavonic world, his name is well-known in the field of all-European humanities of the first half of the XIX century. It’s Hutsa-Venelin who the priority in the research on numerous problems of Slavonic studies. Thanks to his research in the sphere of humanities the scientist has an important contribution to learning the Slavonic peoples especially to those of Bulgarian, Russian and Ukrainian ones. He raised to a higher level their history, language, folklore and ethnography. While studying various aspects of the history and culture of the Slavonic Y.Hutsa-Venelin has given us much valuable estimation which is of a great significance up to the present. The scientist has been at the cradle of the Slavonic studies and he is rightfully considered to be the founder of the Slavonic studies in Russia.
