Комунікативно-прагматичні характеристики англомовних наукових статей галузі біомедичної інженерії

Abstract

У статті досліджено та описано комунікативно-прагматичні параметри англомовних наукових статей галузі біомедичної інженерії. Виявлено комунікативно-прагматичне навантаження в таких частинах статті, як анотація, вступ, основна частина, методологія, висновки; виділено мовні клішовані конструкції, що сприяють створенню прагматичного впливу на читача. З’ясовано основні інтенції, які автор реалізує в наукових статтях, а саме: передавання та опис нової інформації, пояснення алгоритму дії того чи іншого явища; переконання читача в достовірності отриманих ним результатів; узагальнення основних положень роботи. Комунікативний простір наукових статей галузі біомедичної інженерії характеризується такими категоріальними ознаками, як фактуальність, нейтральна оцінність, логічність, термінологічність, алгоритмічність, теоретизованість, структурованість, діалогічність. Елементи діалогу простежуються у всіх наукових статтях, оскільки автор бачить у своїх читачах потенційних партнерів, які активно беруть участь в осмисленні інформації. У досліджуваних текстах виділено три основні тематичні підсистеми лексики, що корелюють із такими прагматичними установками наукового тексту, як опис досліджуваного явища, створення метамови опису цього явища та авторське ставлення до нього. Серед прагматичних характеристик проаналізованих статей важливого значення набувають таблиці, графіки, фігури, рисунки, які узагальнюють і класифікують технічні показники та представляють їх в ілюстративній формі, а також посилання автора на праці інших спеціалістів цієї галузі, що слугують безпосереднім доказом компетентності цього дослідження. Зроблено висновок, що комунікативно-прагматична структура англомовних статей галузі біомедичної інженерії – це багатовимірне, об’ємне утворення, створене з метою впливу на адресата відповідно до прийнятих у професійній групі очікувань та стереотипів мислення.

The article investigates and describes the communicative-pragmatic parameters of English-language scientific articles in the field of biomedical engineering. The communicative-pragmatic loading in such parts of the article as the abstract, introduction, main part, methodology, conclusions are revealed; linguistic cliché constructions that contribute to creating a pragmatic impact on the reader are selected. The basic intentions that the author implements in scientific articles are clarified, namely: transfer and description of new information, explanation of the algorithm of action of a phenomenon; persuading the reader of the accuracy of his / her results; summarizing the basic provisions of the work. The communicative space of scientific articles in the field of biomedical engineering is characterized by such categorical features as factuality, neutral evaluation, logic, terminology, algorithmicity, theorizing, structuredness, dialogicality. The elements of dialogue are traced in all scientific articles as the author sees in his readers potential partners who are actively involved in making sense of the information. The texts under study identify three main thematic subsystems of vocabulary that correlate with such pragmatic settings of the scientific text as the description of the phenomenon under study, the creation of a meta-description of the phenomenon and the author’s relation to it. Among the pragmatic characteristics of the analyzed articles special importance is given to tables, graphs, figures, which summarize and classify technical indicators and present them in illustrative form, as well as the author’s references to the works of other specialists in this field, which serve as direct evidence of the competence of this research. It is concluded that the communicative and pragmatic structure of English-language articles in the field of biomedical engineering is a multidimensional formation designed to influence the addressee in accordance with the expectations and stereotypes of thinking adopted in the professional group.
