| Abstract: | The article is devoted to origin and development of critical perspective in social sciences. The author analysed theoretical and social sources of the perspective and its paradigm. The main directions of the critical analyses, as “critical theory”, “critical criminology”, “new criminology”, and “neo-marxim” are described. An attempt to define the strength and weaknesses of critical analyses was made. |
