Німецькі метафори в актуальному суспільно-політичному дискурсі

Abstract

Статтю присвячено процесам поповнення актуального словника суспільно-політичного дискурсу завдяки метафорам як способу вторинної номінації. Предметом дослідження є метафоричний характер цієї частини сучасної німецької лексики та процеси метафоризації, що відбувалися в німецькомовному суспільно-політичному дискурсі протягом останнього десятиліття. Об’єктом дослідження слугували лексичні одиниці, відібрані з публікацій у сучасних німецькомовних медіа та матеріалів щорічної акції «Слово року» та «Антислово року» в Німеччині та інших німецькомовних країнах (2011−2018 рр.). Дається опис функціонування актуальних метафор у соціальній сфері, сферах внутрішньої та зовнішньої політики, економіки, освіти, сучасних технологій, екології тощо, процесів міграції метафор між різними сферами, а також розширення та спеціалізації їхнього значення. Мовний матеріал розглядається, насамперед, у когнітивному та номінативному аспектах та аналізується за кількома критеріями: належність до частин мови, концептосфера та мова походження, структурні та функціональні характеристики, словотвірний потенціал. Особлива увага приділяється опису концептуальної (когнітивної), образної та експресивно-оцінної метафор, а також антропоцентричній природі метафори. У статті аналізується низка так званих «провідних метафор» сучасного суспільно-політичного дискурсу (Globalisierung, Konsens, Reform та ін.), які через високу частоту та маніпулятивність вживання з часом втратили свою метафоричність та зазнали значних семантичних змін. Дискутується проблема маніпулятивного характеру деяких метафор, питання етичності та політичної коректності їх вживання. Теоретичні міркування ілюструються актуальним мовним матеріалом, який є синхронним зрізом конкретного етапу функціонування мови та дає змогу дослідити її динамічну та креативну сутність.

The article deals with the processes of modern vocabulary enrichment of socio-political discourse through metaphors as a medium of secondary nomination. The subject of the research is a metaphorical character of this part of modern German lexis as well as the metaphorisation processes that have taken place in the modern socio-political German discourse over the past decade. The object of the research is lexical units selected from publications in modern German media and materials of the annual events “Word of the year” and “Antiword of the year” in Germany and other German speaking countries (2011−2018). The article describes functioning of actual metaphors in the social sphere, the spheres of national and foreign politics, economics, education, modern technologies, ecology etc., migration of metaphors between different spheres, as well as extension and specialization of their meaning. The article studies the language material from cognitive and nominative perspectives and analyses it by different criteria: part of speech type; the sphere of concepts and the language of origin; structural, functional and derivational potential. The article focuses on the description of conceptual (cognitive), figurative and expressive-evaluative metaphors, as well as on the anthropocentric nature of metaphors. The article also analyses a range of so-called main stream metaphors of socio-political discourse (Globalisierung, Konsens, Reform etc.), which have lost their metaphoricity over time through the high frequent and manipulative usage and considerable changed semantically. The article discusses the problem of the manipulative character of some metaphors, ethics and political correctness of their use. Theoretical considerations are illustrated with the actual language material, which is a synchronous slice of the specific phase of language functioning and allows to study its dynamical and creative nature.
