Модифікація містерального паттерну у британському романі після 2000 р.

Abstract

У статті на матеріалі британських романів 2000−2010-х рр. досліджено специфіку світоглядно-філософських кореляцій між постмодернізмом і постпостмодернізмом в аспекті реалізації ключових жанрових паттернів. Розвинуто теорії В. Іванова, Б. Шалагінова, І. Кропивко про центральну роль містерії й карнавалу як двох метажанрових форм європейської культури, інтенсивність представлення яких у дискурсі літератури визначає її тематичні комплекси, поетологічні особливості, світоглядні орієнтири та ін. Показано, як у річищі сучасного британського роману відбувається реактуалізація містеріальних елементів, що свідчить про настання нової культурної парадигми, яка приходить на зміну постмодерній карнавальності. Уточнено принцип періодизації літератури в аспекті кореляції між постмодернізмом і постпостмодернізмом. Наголошено, що в жанровому паттерні містерії як метаформи культури закладено карнавальні елементи. Визначено специфіку репрезентації базових принципів постмодерністської поетики в дискурсі постпостмодернізму, розкрито специфіку представлення фрагментарності, фронтирності й карнавальності в постпостмодерністському романі, важливим чинником становлення якого є шукання персонажів у вертикальній площині смислів. Попри те, що в новітніх компендіумах британського роману після 2000 р. не згадано поняття «постпостмодернізм», воно має важливість з огляду на те, що сучасний роман репрезентує риси й тенденції, відмінні від постмодерністського. Проаналізовано форми експлікації ключових рис постмодерністського роману (фрагментарність, фронтирність) у британських романах, написаних після 2000-го р. і в яких наявні не властиві постмодернізму світоглядно-філософські та наративні особливості. Карнавальні елементи хоча й представлені в гетерогенному постпостмодерністському романі, проте загалом карнавальний модус у сучасних романах заміщено містеріальним, що реалізує важливість пізнання дійсності, усвідомлення її законів та ін.

The article is based on the material of British novels of the 2000−2010s. The specificity of philosophical correlations between postmodernism and post-postmodernism has been investigated in the aspect of implementing key genre patterns. The theory of V. Ivanov, B. Shalahinov, and I. Kropyvko about the central role of mystery and carnival as two metagenres of European culture, the intensity of presentation of which in the literature discourse determines its thematic complexes, poetic features, etc., has been developed. In contemporary British novel, the mysterious elements are reactivated, which indicates the onset of a new cultural paradigm, which is replacing the postmodern carnival. The principle of periodization of literature is clarified in the aspect of correlations between postmodernism and post-postmodernism. It is noted that in the genre pattern of mystery as a metaphor of culture, carnival elements are also embodied. The specificity of representation of the basic principles of postmodern poetics in the discourse of post-postmodernism has been spotlighted, the specificity of the representation of fragmentation, frontiers, and carnival in the post-postmodern novels, the search of characters in the vertical realm of senses, has been outlined. This paper determines the discussion about the dichotomy carnival – mystery as a key factor of transformation of literary periods. The status of carnival and mystery as two metagenres of world literature has been outlined. The transformation of key postmodern elements (fragmentation, frontier) represented in the novels have been investigated in the contemporary British novel since 2000. Despite the fact that the notion postpostmodernism is not used in the contemporary compendia of the British novel since 2000, there is a reason to explain the specifics of the new cultural period that provides new aesthetical and narrative features of the novel that cannot be explained in the postmodern paradigm. The main focus of the author is paid to the fact that carnival pattern was replaced by the mystery, however, the carnival is still represented in the contemporary British novel as a part of the heterogeneous post-postmodern novel.
