| Краткий осмотр (реферат): | У статті досліджено, яке місце займають транснаціональні корпорації в економіці України. Наведено перелік ТНК, які працюють на території держави, їхній вплив на фінансовий та страховий ринки. Про- аналізовано надходження прямих іноземних інвестицій в економіку України та в її галузі економіки. Обґрунтовано наслідки діяльності ТНК для конкурентного середовища в Україні. Наведено приклади позитивного та негативного впливу функціонування іноземних транснаціональних корпорацій на еконо- мічний розвиток України. Виявлено головні проблеми, які існують в Україні щодо розширення діяль- ності ТНК. Проаналізовано розвиток українського ринку злиттів та поглинань. Наведено конкретні при- клади конкуренції українських виробників та іноземних транснаціональних корпорацій. Проаналізовано діяльність ТНК у банківській та страховій сферах. |
| Описание: | As a result of the increasing “openness” of national borders to the strengthening of foreign economic relations, the role of corporate structures becomes more important and has an unprecedented impact on the industrial potential of the country and the national economy as a whole. At the present stage of development, transnational companies play a major role in shaping the economic systems of countries rather than national economies. There are several TNCs in the Ukrainian market which are operating through their subsidiaries and affiliates. Today, there are more than 30 world-class TNCs operating in Ukraine or having joint ventures in the national market. TNCs are particularly interested in those sectors of the Ukrainian economy in which there is no fierce competition, and the competitive advantages of national companies are not clearly expressed. Transnational corporations are most interested in the following industries: industry, wholesale and retail trade, real estate operations, financial and insurance activities. Despite the unstable situation in Ukraine, foreign investors are increasingly investing in financial and insurance activities. Particularly noteworthy is the banking sector, which has significantly improved its operating efficiency and generated high profits for the second consecutive year. The impact of transnational corporations cannot be assessed solely on the positive or the possible threats. Dissemination of international production standards, revitalization of competition in the country and improvement of the quality of domestic products through the introduction of new technologies in production, improving the skills of workers are all positive influence of TNCs on Ukrainian enterprises. On the other hand, the activities of TNCs force domestic companies to reduce their output or to close at all, because of the smaller capital Ukrainian enterprises cannot compete with much more powerful TNCs. Therefore, it is relevant to study the role of TNCs in the real sector of the Ukrainian economy, financial and insurance markets, the impact of transnational companies on the competitiveness of domestic corporations. |
