| Abstract: | Piezoelectric composites have been prepeared by mixing crystalline Sn2P2S6 powder with epoxy. These composites exhibit a large hydrostatic voltage sensitivity gh. Maximum values of gp ‘(150-155 mVm/N ) were obtained for a sample with crystalline phase volume percentage of above 65%. A sharp increase of gh, and dh, coefficient decrease of the samples thikness below approximately 1 mm is found. The effect allows fabrication of highly sensitive composites for hydrophone application. |
