| Abstract: | У статті розглядається міфологічний код української новели кінця ХІХ – початку ХХ століть. Об’єктом уваги стали твори українських новелістів Марка Черемшини, Василя Стефаника, Ольги Кобилянської. Проаналізовано фольклорно-міфологічні елементи, образи, символи, художні деталі у їхньому відношенні до міфомислення та індивідуального авторського сприйняття. Авторка дійшла висновку, що міфологічну картину світу в жанрі новели також зреалізовано через систему бінарних опозицій життя – смерті, добра – зла. Дослідження накреслює подальші аспекти вивчення української новелістики рубежу минулих століть у царині міфокритики |
| Description: | The article deals with mythological code in the short story genre in Ukraine at the end of XIXth – the beginning of XXth centuries, especially the short stories by Marko Cheremshyna, Vasyl Stephanyk, Olha Kobylyanska. The folk-lore elements, images, symbols, artistic details, reception of folk genres like carol are studied regarding the mythological mode of thinking and individual author’s perception. The author comes to the conclusion that the mythological picture of universe in the short story genre also realized through the system of binary oppositions life/death, good/evil. The article outlines the further mythological aspects of the study of the short story genre in Ukraine at the end of XIXth – the beginning of XXth centuries. |
