Постаті в ономастиці: Любомир Белей

Abstract

Анотація. У статті розглядається життєвий і творчий шлях відомого у слов’янському світі мовознавця Любо- мира Омеляновича Белея, вихованця кафедри української мови Ужгородського університету, який має вагомі здобут- ки в українській і слов’янській ономастиці, дослідженні старослов’янської мови, історії української літературної мови, культури української діаспори в країнах Європи. Як засновник і директор НДІ україністики імені Михайла Мольнара, Л. Белей видав багато праць лінгвістів, чиї імена і праці потрібно повертати українському мовознавству, – це поста- ті Є. Чикаленка, Г. Костельника, Є. Маланюка, А. Животка, Ф. Тіхого, Ю. Шевельова. Особливого значення набули дослідження проблем політичного русинства на Закарпатті. Метою дослідження є опис життєвого і творчого шляху відомого мовознавця, знаного українського ономаста, талановитого педагога і непересічної людини Любомира Белея, який вніс чималий вклад у розвиток вітчизняної науки. Його життя пов’язане з нашим вишем дуже тісно. Тут він став ученим, викладачем, ономастом, знаним у слов’янському світі. В основу статті лягли праці Л. Белея, що зумовили часово-просторове і тематичне портретування особистості відомого ономаста та загальнонауковий описовий метод. Постаті вченого та його діяльності присвячені окремі статті в енциклопедії «Українська мова» (2004) та Вікіпе- дії, опубліковані рецензії на його праці, інтерв’ю в мас-медіа, узяті за життя дослідника (Б. Ажнюк, І. Філак, Г. Вовчен- ко, О. Баган, О.Р. Фабрика-Процька, Н. Толочко, О. Гаврош, В. Ільницький, В. Горват, М. Бадида та ін.), є чат Л.О. Белея в інтернеті, некролог на його відхід опублікований у шостому випуску журналу «Мовознавство» за 2018 рік. Ці та інші матеріали допомагають сформувати портрет ученого в часі і просторі, з’ясувати значення його ідей і вплив на сучасну науку, проте потребують подальшого вивчення. Ключові слова: Л.О. Abstract. The article is dedicated to the life and career of the famous, in the Slavic world, linguist Lyubomyr Omelianovych Beley, a graduate of the Department of Ukrainian Language of Uzhhorod National University, who has had significant achievements in Ukrainian and Slavic onomastics, in the research of Old Slavonic language, in the history of Ukrainian literary language, and in Ukrainian culture of the diasporas living in European countries. As the founder and director of the Mykhailo Molnar Research Institute of Ukrainian Studies, L. Beley published many works by linguists, whose names and works should be returned to Ukrainian linguistics, such as Yu. Chykalenko, H. Kostelnyk, Yu. Malanyuk, A. Zhyvotko, F. Tykhyi, and Yu. Shevelov. The studies of the problems of political Rusynism in Zakarpattia were of particular importance. The aim of the research is to describe the life and creative path of the famous linguist, well-known Ukrainian onomastician, talented teacher and outstanding person – Lyubomyr Beley, who made a significant contribution into the development of the national science. His life is very closely connected with Uzhhorod University, where he became a scientist, teacher, and onomastician known in the Slavic world. The article is based on the works by L. Beley, which led to the spatio-temporal and thematic portrayal of the personality of the famous onomastician and on the general scientific descriptive method. The figure of the scientist and his activity has been considered and described in: different articles, encyclopedia “Ukrainian language” (2004), Wikipedia, published reviews of the researcher’s works, his interviews appeared in different media when the researcher was alive (B. Azhnyuk, I. Filak, G. Vovchenko, O. Bahan, O.R. Fabryka-Protska, N. Tolochko, O. Havrosh, V. Ilnytsky, V. Horvat, M. Badyda, etc.); there are also lectures of L. Beley in the Internet and the obituary on his passing away published in the sixth issue of the journal “Movoznavstvo” in 2018. These and other materials help one to form a portrait of the scientist in time and space, to find out the meaning of his ideas and influence on modern science, but are in need of the further study.
