Роман Сергія Степи «Дерево Дірака»: поетика заголовка

Abstract

Анотація. Сергій Степа – український письменник, котрий нині проживає в Угорщині. У національному літе- ратурному процесі митець знаний ще з кінця 80-х років ХХ століття. Із того часу його доробок перебуває в полі зору критиків, літературознавців, письменників (П. Скунць, Н. Ребрик, О. Талабірчук…). На початку ХХІ століття повість прозаїка «Не сьогодні, тільки вчора і завжди» перекладена О. Городецьким польською мовою. Роман С. Степи «Дерево Дірака» (2013) досліджується вперше. Мета розвідки – простежити поетику заголовка роману «Дерево Дірака». Актуальність дослідження полягає в необхідності осягнення цілісної картини сучасного національного літературного процесу. У статті визначено, що назва роману Сергія Степи «Дерево Дірака» належить до заголовків кульмінаційного типу і метафорична за суттю. Смислові навантаження, що несуть собою ці слова («Дерево, Дірака») – корелюються. Дерево сприймаємо як філософський символ упорядкованого часопростору, а ім’я фізика Дірака наштовхує нас до намагання людини пояснити принципи його влаштування. У поєднанні ці слова, як дві величини, створюють нове семантичне поле, до осмислення якого веде нас застосований у творі Сергієм Степою «принцип айсберга». Форма заголовка: два слова, кожне з яких складається із шести букв. При цьому впадають в око алітерація (д, р) та асонанс (е, е, а, а), також візуально об’єднує слова велика буква Д, якою обидва — починаються. Ці елементи, окрім звукової «оркестровки», мовби відтіняють певну симетрію в змісті назви, що переростає водночас у симетрію вну- трішньотекстуальну, відображену в назвах частин, у розгортанні сюжету, у часопросторових координатах тощо. Саме ж дерево Дірака постає метафорою невідворотності закладеного вищими силами в долю людини і залишається відбит- ком на всьому, до чого торкнеться її рука. Епіграф твору і його назва встановлюють між собою діалог, коли читач розу- міє, що й марнота підвладна фатуму. Отже, зважаючи на форму, зміст, сутність заголовка, а також співвідношення його зі самим романом, можемо стверджувати, що книга Сергія Степи «Дерево Дірака» становить розгорнутий заголовок. Аbstract. Serhiy Stepa is a Ukrainian writer, residing in Hungary. He is known since the late 80s of the 20th century in the national literature process. From that time his works have been on radar of critics, specialists in literature and writers (P. Scunc, N. Rebryk, O. Talabirchuk…). At the beginning of the 21st century this prose-writer’s novel “Not today, only yesterday and always” was translated into Polish by O. Gorodetsky. Stepa’s novel “Dirac’s Tree” (2013) has not been profoundly analyzed, and therefore this article has a scientific novelty. Research objective: to follow the poetics of the title of the novel “Dirac’s Tree”. The relevance of the research embraces the necessity of understanding the coherent picture of the modern national literary process. It was identified in the article that the title of the novel “Dirac’s Tree” by Serhiy Stepa falls under the culmination type titles and it is metaphorical in its essence. There is a correlation of the semantic meaning which these words deliver (“Derevo” (in English Tree), “Dirac”). We perceive the tree as a philosophical symbol of ordered space and time, and the name of the famous physicist Dirac we accociate with attempt of a human being to explain the principles of its evolvement. These words in combination, as two units, create a new semantic field, which the subtextual letter of Serhiy Stepa encourages us to comprehend, and that is revealed by this written work. The title form comprises of two words, each of these words consists of six letters. Upon that our attention is drawn by the alliteration (Ukr.: д, р) and assonance (Ukr.: е, е, а, а), and also the beginnings of two words with the capital letter D visually unites the combination. In addition to the sound “orchestrating” these elements seem to accentuate a certain symmetry in the title content, which at the same time grows into internal textual symmetry, reflected in the names of the parts, in the development of the plot, in the space and time coordinates. The Dirac’s Tree itself (Ukr.: Derevo Diraca) emerges as a metaphor for inevitability of everything which is put by supreme forces into a person’s destiny, and it imprints into everything it touches. The epigraph of the work and its title establish a dialogue with each other, and the reader understands that vanity is also sensitive to the fate. Thus, considering the form, the content and the essence of the title, as well as its correspondence to the novel, we can claim that the novel of Serhiy Stepa “Dirac’s Tree” has absolutely explicated title.
