| Abstract: | The article presents the process of establishing and organizing of the Ukrainian Helsinki Union, a well-known Ukrainian human rights civil society, within the repressive Communist regime. The author analyses the main structural principles of the organization, its program, its actual work and the puny but harsh repressive actions of the dying Soviet regime against the active members of the regional Helsinki group. |
