| Abstract: | На основі аналізу законодавства України, інших зарубіжних держав, а також досліджень науковців у статті з’ясовано сутність термінів «державна мова» та «офіційна мова». Зроблено висновок про те, що ці терміни можуть позначати одне й те ж поняття або різні поняття, що залежить від держави, у якій використовують терміни. Найпо- ширеніше значення терміна «офіційна мова» – це основна мова країни. У такому розумінні він є повністю синоні- мічним термінові «державна мова». В інших випадках аналізовані терміни не є синонімічними, при цьому термін «офіційна мова» може набувати різних значень. Ключові слова: юридичний термін, юридичне поняття, державна мова, офіційна мова, регіональна мова. |
| Description: | The article examines the essence of terms «state language» and «official language» and is based on the legislative acts of Ukraine, of other foreign states as well as researches’ publications. The article presents the conclusions that these terms may have the same or different concept depending on the state that uses them. The most widely-spread meaning of the «official language» term is the main language of the country. In such a sense, it is completely synonymous to the term «state language». In other cases the analyzed terms are not synonymous, yet the term «official language» may have various meanings. Key words: legal term, legal concept, national language, official language, regional language. |
