| Abstract: | Such religious institutes as Basilian monasterys played a very important role in the Transcarpathian history. Basilian monasterys, besides its religious activities, provided also cultural and educational ones. The schools and libraries were attached to the monastery and the monks carried on educational work. Up to the end of the 19th century this religious institutes (monasterys) played an extremely significant part in the religious and cultural life of our ancestors. |
