Роль контексту при інтерпретації французької енантіосемії

Abstract

Анотація. У сучасній лінгвістиці простежується значний інтерес до дослідження контекстуальної художньої семантики, оскільки художній текст має велике смислове навантаження, наділений складною системою конотативних значень, містить додатковий імпліцитний зміст. Здатність лексичної системи французької мови збагачуватися шляхом розширення значення похідного слова, а також відсутність наукових праць, присвячених дослідженню художньої кон- текстуальної енантіосемії, ставить перед нами завдання її розгляду. Мета роботи – визначити роль контексту при інтерпретації французької контекстуальної енантіосемії. Джерель- ною базою дослідження слугували франкомовні художні твори XX – початку XXI століть. З’ясовано, що контекст відіграє основну роль при інтерпретації енантіосемії. Незнання контексту спричинює труднощі при розумінні окремих слів, словосполучень, фразеологізмів, речень, оскільки значення слова створює кон- текст, і контекст створює значення. Контекст дає можливість слову виявити свої приховані потенційні можливості, має виборчу й уточнюючу роль. Ми розглядаємо енантіосемію не як недолік мови, а як один із факторів, що детермінує її розвиток, зокрема кон- текстуальні прирости смислу. Енантіосемія як одне з джерел поляризації значення є, з одного боку, вираженням мовної економії, а з іншого, – наповнює мовні одиниці новим, часом незвичайним і несподіваним, лексичним і граматичним змістом, передаючи діаметрально протилежні внутрішньослівні номінативні значення або емоційно-оцінні конотації. Встановлено, що у художніх творах французької мови явище енантіосемії не є дуже поширеним й мовлення персонажів не багате на загальномовні та контекстуальні енантіолексеми, однак, вони є яскравою ознакою мовостилю французьких письменників. У франкомовних художніх творах XX – початку XXI століть контекстуальна енантіосемія частіше зустрічаєть- ся в мікроконтексті, макроконтексті, вербальному та невербальному контекстах та їх підвидах; контекст не завжди уточнює значення слова, іноді в контексті твору виникає гра слів, яка розширює значення слова, внаслідок чого ви- словлення отримує гумористичний, іронічній ефект; у художніх творах французької мови зустрічається номінативна й емоційно-оцінна експресивна енантіосемія; основними шляхами творення енантіосемії є: конверсія, конотація, слова загального значення; відповідно, основними видами контекстуальної енантіосемії є: конверсиви, конотативи, асоці- ативи. Енантіосемічна лексика, у досліджених художніх текстах, найчастіше представлена дієсловами, іменниками, прикметниками, прислівниками і вигуками. Abstract. In the present-day linguistics there is a significant interest in the study of contextual literary semantics, in so far as the literary text is of considerable semantic charge, endowed with a complex system of connotative meanings, contains additional implicit meaning. The ability of the French language lexical system to be enriched by the derived word meaning expanding, as well as the lack of scientific investigations devoted to the study of literary contextual enantiosemy assigns the objectives of its consideration. The aim of the work is to determine the context role in the interpretation of French contextual enantiosemy. The source base of the study was French-language literary works of the 20th–early 21st centuries. It was found that the context played a major role in the enantiosemy interpretation. Lack of the context knowledge caused difficulties in understanding some individual words, word-combinations, phraseological units, sentences, as far as the word meaning created the context, and the context created the word meaning. The context enabled to show the hidden potential of the word, and the context had a selective and clarifying role. We considered the enantiosemy not as a language disadvantage, but as one of the factors determining its development, in particular contextual meaning augmentation. Enantiosemy as one of the sources of meaning polarization was on the one hand, an expression of linguistic economy and on the other – filled language units with new, sometimes unusual and unexpected lexical and grammatical meaning, conveying diametrically opposed intralingual nominative meanings or emotionallyevaluative connotations. It was established that in the literary French-language works the enantiosemy phenomenon hadn’t been very common and the characters’ speech hadn’t been rich in general and contextual enantiolexemes, however, they were a spectacular sign of the French writers’ style. In French-language literary works of the 20th–early 21st centuries the contextual enantiosemy was more common in microcontext, macrocontext, verbal and nonverbal contexts and their subspecies; the context did not always clarify the meaning of the word, sometimes in the context of the literary work there was a play on words, which expands the word meaning, as a result of which the statement took a humorous, ironic effect; in the French-language literary works there was a nominative and emotionally-evaluative expressive enantiosemy; the main ways of enantiosemy creation were: conversion, connotation, words of general meaning; accordingly, the main types of contextual enantiosemy were: converse terms, connotations, associatives. Enantiosemic vocabulary in the investigated literary texts, was frequently represented by verbs, nouns, adjectives, adverbs and exclamations.
