Суб’єкт-специфічні критерії визначення обдарованості в освітньому серидовищі Великої Британії

Abstract

Анотація. Раннє виявлення, навчання і виховання обдарованих дітей є одним із головних завдань удо- сконалення системи освіти. Важливо, щоб індивіди, наділені певним особливим даром, мали змогу розкрити і використати його з метою самоствердження, правильного вибору професії. Мета статті – розглянути змістове наповнення суб’єкт-специфічних критеріїв щодо класифікації обдарованих осіб в освітньому серед- овищі Великої Британії. Методи дослідження: аналіз і синтез наукової літератури (для уточнення ключових понять дослідження), систематизація (з метою виявлення існуючих наукових підходів до вирішення про- блеми), теоретичне узагальнення (для формулювання підсумкових положень і висновків). У ході проведеного дослідження було встановлено, що британські вчені пропонують визначати обдарованих учнів за суб’єкт- специфічними критеріями, що дає змогу ідентифікувати тих учнів, які можуть проявляти виняткову зді- бність в межах одного або декількох шкільних предметів. Для кожної сфери пропонують набір передбачу- ваної поведінки, демонстрація якої може допомогти ідентифікувати обдарованість та талановитість: Ключові слова: критерії визначення, обдарованість, учні, Велика Британія.

Abstract. Early detection, education and upbringing of gifted children is one of the main tasks of improving the education system. It is important that individuals endowed with a special gift have the opportunity to discover and use it for self-affi rmation, the right choice of profession. The purpose of the article is to consider the content of subjectspecifi c criteria for the classifi cation of gifted persons in the British educational environment. Research methods: analysis and synthesis of scientifi c literature (to clarify key concepts of research), systematization (in order to identify existing scientifi c approaches to solving the problem), theoretical generalization (to formulate the fi nal provisions and conclusions). The study found that British researchers are proposing to identify gifted students according to subjectspecifi c criteria, which allows them to identify those students who may be exceptional in one or more school subjects. For each area, a set of predictable behaviors is off ered, the demonstration of which can help identify giftedness and talent. British researchers recommend using any list of characteristics in the classifi cation of gifted people as a starting point for thinking about giftedness and talent, rather than as a diagnostic tool. Clear, objective and useful criteria are needed to identify the most capable learners and meet their needs. The choice of criteria for assessing and / or identifying giftedness is case-specifi c. Criteria may vary depending on the age and / or talents being evaluated and need to be supported by a body of evidence. Ultimately, decisions about which students should be considered gifted and talented are the responsibility of teachers and schools.
