| Abstract: | The efficacy of nimodipine (Nimotop, Bayer) administration in patients with stroke of different origin was estimated. 149 patients of both genders were included in the study (ischemic stroke -72 patients and 77 -hemorrhage). One group (74 patients) was treated with standard protocol, another one (75 patients received nimodipine as an addition to the standard protocol. Standard neurological status and dynamic of EEG patterns were analyzed. As а result of nimodipine administration there was 27 ,9% mortality decrease and significant reduction of disability in these patients. |
