Abstract

The article is dedicated to the research of the problem of time and space in the novel of Ivan Chendey “The birds are leaving the nests”. The main attention is focused on solving the problem of time and space in the context of the novel. Thus the specificity of the individual stylistic manner of I. Chendey is elucidated. The structure of the novel “The birds are leaving the nests” is based on the relations of space and time. The semantic filling of the space organization of the novel is the dichotomia of the outward and inward life. At the same time the narrator describes the characters at the parameters of the related toposes, in particular he frequently describes them at the definite local space.
