Abstract: Attraction of human to the creation of different kinds of groups, which have a task of the purposeful influence on personality, accompanies the whole history of mankind and becomes the subject of scientific-psychological and pedagogical studies. Modern researchers emphasize that one of the effective methods of a group work in order to provide psychological help for people is group training. Theoretical basis of using study trainings in high school are fundamental scientific works of psychologists and educators and scientific studies, in which researchers describe the specific of training group work, use the developed training programs, complement them with author’s works, create trainings for the development of teacher’s critical thinking and educational and training programs to prepare teachers for implementation of interactive technologies in high school study process, taking as a basis the psychological essence of trainings etc. In the training of future psychologists in a high school such methods and forms of work are often used, which graduates first try in the educational process, and later can use in their professional activity. Such methods are group trainings of different directions. Focus of the training group’s work depends on set goals: getting of information, using of specific tasks, understanding of own personality; encouragement for clearly planned actions or spontaneous activity; determining the direction of group processes; orientation on work for clearly defined tasks (formation of communicative abilities and skills, tolerance; definition of acme for personal growing; concretization of directions for professional formation etc.). The main parameters, by which it is possible to classify different types of groups, are: 1) the stage, in which the group leader retains a dominant role in group organizing and management of its work (rational stimulation); 2) emotional stimulation of group members that encourages working in training group. In the professional training of future psychologists it is appropriate to use different types of training groups and optimal methods of training work, which students will be able to use in their future professional activity.
