Поезія словацьких романтиків в українських перекладах (ХІХ–ХХ ст.)

Abstract

The poetry by the Slovakian romanticists has been translated into Ukrainian (first into colloquial or the so-called “yazychiye”) since mid 19th century. A. Metlynskyi, O. Pavlovych, B. Didytskyi, I. Vahylevych, I. Franko, P. Hrabovskyi, M. Rylskyi, H. Kochur, S. Holovanivskyi, M. Riabchuk, B. Ten, A. Malyshko, M. Pryhara, K. Drok, I. Vyrhan, R. Lubkivskyi, D. Palamarchuk, L. Prevomaiskyi, L. Molnar were among the translators. The selected poetry by J. Bott, J. Krai, S. Chalupka and A. Sladovič were published in I. Matsynskyi’s translation in a separate volume. The poems by other authors such as J. Kollar, K. Kuzmani, L. Štur, B. Nosak-Nezbudov, J.-M. Hurban, S. Tomašik are scattered in newspapers, journals, almanachs, poetry collections and anthologies or are even stored in private archives only. Moreover, the authorship of some translations has not been established so far. Therefore, this aspect of Ukrainian-Slovakian relations is worth special attention and research.
