Балансуючи між громадами та партіями: асоціації місцевого самоврядування як учасники децентралізації влади в Словаччині

Abstract

The article deals with evolution of local governments associations of Slovakia as the form of local communities corporative interests representation. During all the period of Slovak republic independence (from January 1st, 1993) associations, beside local governments’ needs, were pushed to represent individual interests of political parties. But even taking into account the paternalist influence of political organizations, local governments associations played constructive role in the defining of forms and methods of decentralization.
