Abstract:	The terms of "ideology", "terrorism", "ideological foundations of political terrorism" are covered in the article. The activity of ultra-left wing terrorist organizations in 1970s in Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of Italy and Japan, their connections with Muslim extremism is analyzed. The author analyzes also such version of political terrorism as "racial" terrorism, explaining its roots in the ineffective migration and social policies of contemporary Europe. Particular attention is paid to the stream of radical Islam, called "Wahhabism". The differences between Wahhabism and Sufism are considered. Arguments are supported by historical facts, examples.
