| Abstract: | The article the shows the influence of the revolution of 1848 -1849 on national self-awareness of rusyns inhabiting North-Eastern regions of Hungarian part of Gabsburg’s monarchy. It elucidates conceiving of the ideas concerning rusyn’s own originality, their self-realization as separate nation in minds of leading political and cultural persons. Later these ideas spread between the whole population of Hungarian Rus. Unification of all “rusyn’s” provinces (Galicia, Hungarian Rus and Bukovina) was the main aim of A. Dobryanskiy, O. Dukhno-vich and others. Political, social and cultural life of rusyns inhabiting the territory of modern Transkarpathian region during the revolution of 1848 – 1949 was enlightened on pages of news-paper “Zorya Halytska”(“Star of Gali-tia”). It proclaimed unity of whole Ukrainian nation. |
