| Abstract: | The article mainly deals with problems of women’s share of power in Poland at the end of XX-th century. On the example of election to the Seym in 1997 author analysis such important aspects of elections as: number of women on the lists of candidates, presence of specific women’s issues in party programs, TV electoral campaign and image of women – candidates. The article also focuses on problem of underrepresenting of women in the executive power and on the barriers which highly limited women’s influence on policy and legislation. |
