Abstract:	This article gives the general grounds what concerns formations and development of party system in Ukraine. The author considers the Ukraine’s party system to be in the process of formation and to be different from European standards. In order to format more effective party system in Ukraine it is necessary to provide proportional election system in the country and to choose the parliamentary – presidential form of governing.
