Творчість Івана Чендея в українському культурному просторі 1960-х років

Abstract

Анотація. Різножанровий прозовий доробок Івана Чендея ніколи не залишався поза увагою критиків і літе- ратурознавців. Однак актуальною залишається необхідність розширення його історико-культурологічного дискурсу контекстуальними дослідженнями, із яких чи не найвагомішим є розгляд його творів у порівнянні з прозою шістдесят- ників, із урахуванням суспільної атмосфери, позиції й ролі українського митця в радянський час. Тому метою цього дослідження було розглянути особливості прозової спадщини Івана Чендея 1960-х років (роман «Птахи полишають гнізда», повісті «Іван» та «Луна блакитного овиду», оповідання збірки «Березневий сніг») у полі тодішнього літера- турного процесу, у центрі якого перебували шістдесятники. Основне завдання статті: простежити типологічний звʼязок творів Чендея з їхньою прозою в історичному, проблемному контекстах національних соціокультурних подій, запитів і викликів, що увиразнює його літературознавчий портрет в українському мистецтві ХХ століття. Твори прозаїка, написані в 1960-ті роки, засвідчили новий рівень його художньої свідомості, мистецьких пошу- ків, творчого зростання, сформованість індивідуального стилю, в основі якого власна «філософія життя» – усупереч канонам методу соціалістичного реалізму. Ці твори запрограмували подальший шлях митця, започаткували проблем- но-тематичні вузли його наступних романів, повістей, оповідань, новел. Їхня взаємоповʼязаність зі знаковими, резо- нансними взірцями Р. Іваничука, Г. Тютюнника, В. Шевчука, В. Дрозда, О. Гончара, М. Вінграновського проявилася насамперед також на рівні проблемно-тематичному. Національна памʼять, культурна спадщина народу, його мораль- ний імператив, відступництво, розрив із родовим корінням, особистість і тоталітарне суспільство, звичайна людина в УРСР, її свобода й рабство – основні питання (і суспільні виклики), які були в центрі уваги незалежних українських митців 1960-х; їхні твори відзначалися тематичною, проблемною новизною, україноцентричністю, стилістичною ори- гінальністю. Ця проза І. Чендея була важливою й вагомою частиною культурної спадщини українського шістдесятни- цтва, органічно додаючи до неї закарпатську гілку. Вона створювалася у спільному полі тодішньої суспільної й куль- турної атмосфери в УРСР, на ниві мистецькій стала сміливим і потужним виявом громадянської непокори, відповіддю на виклики й запити доби. Abstract. Ivan Chendeyʼs prose works of various genres have never been overlooked by critics and literary scholars. However, the need to expand historical and cultural discourse with contextual studies remains relevant. Consideration of his works in comparison with the prose of the sixtiers, taking into account the social atmosphere, the position and role of the Ukrainian artist in the Soviet era, is perhaps the most important of such studies. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to consider the peculiarities of the prose heritage of Ivan Chendey of the 1960s (the novel «Birds leave their nests», the short stories «Ivan» and «The Echo of the Blue Horizon», short stories from the collection «March Snow») in the context of the literary process of that time, in the center of which were the sixtiers. The main task of the article is to trace the typological connection between Chendeyʼs works and the prose of the sixtiers in the historical and problematic contexts of national sociocultural events, aspirations and challenges, which highlights his literary portrait in Ukrainian art of the 20th century. The prose writerʼs works, written in the 1960s, proved a new level of his artistic consciousness, artistic searches, creative growth, the formation of an individual style, based on his own «philosophy of life» – contrary to the canons of the method of socialist realism. These works programmed the further path of the artist, initiated the problematic and thematic nodes of his subsequent novels, stories, short stories, novellas. Their interconnectedness with iconic, resonant works of R. Ivanichuk, H. Tyutyunnik, V. Shevchuk, V. Drozd, O. Honchar, M. Vingranovsky manifested itself primarily at the problem-thematic level as well. National memory, the cultural heritage of the people, its moral imperative, apostasy, a break with ancestral roots, personality and totalitarian society, an ordinary person in the Ukrainian SSR, his freedom and slavery are the main issues (and social challenges) that were the focus of independent Ukrainian artists in the 1960s. Their works were noted for thematic, problematic novelty, Ukrainian-centricity, and stylistic originality. This prose of I. Chendey was an important and significant part of the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian sixtiers, organically adding the Transcarpathian branch to it. It was created in the common field of the social and cultural atmosphere in the Ukrainian SSR of that time, it became a bold and powerful manifestation of civil disobedience in the field of art, a response to the challenges and needs of the day.
