Питання літературознавства в «Щоденниках Івана Чендея»

Abstract

Анотація. У статті досліджується питання літературознавства у щоденникових записах І. Чендея. Зроблено ана- ліз його висловлювань про основні функції художньої літератури, її національну своєрідність, специфіку, місце серед інших видів мистецтва. Значна увага приділена судженням про сприйняття художнього твору читачем, рекомендаціям неодноразово перечитувати високохудожні тексти, вихованню естетичних смаків, критиці вульгарно-соціологічних під- ходів до мистецтва. І. Чендей підкреслював, що насолоджуватися мистецтвом може лише мистецьки вихована людина. Розглядаються тлумачення І. Чендеєм таланту, природної обдарованості, характеризуються складники талан- ту, зокрема працелюбність, адже велике мистецтво завжди супроводжувала велика праця, здатність відчувати силу і красу слова, чути його мелодію і звук, бачити барви і тони, уміння проникати у таємничий світ людської душі, давати об’єктивну оцінку складним явищам і процесам, у простому, незначному розгледіти непросте і велике. Згадуються критичні судження письменника про бездарність і графоманство. Серед бездар і графоманів таланту, за спостережен- ням І. Чендея, «скрутно і сутужно». Приділяється увага таємницям художньої творчості, творчому процесу, який сповнений напруженням, мобілі- зацією сил і водночас великою радістю. Аналізуються думки І. Чендея про свободу творчості, відсутність права на художнє самовиявлення, «окови регламентів», на думку письменника, шкодять мистецтву, знищують таланти. Пору- шується питання про літературну критику, яка повинна піднімати письменника, вчити читача бачити прекрасне, умін- ню насолоджуватися змістом і формою художнього твору. Акцентовано, що літературний критик, як і письменник, по- винен бути чутливо-емоційною людиною, уміти захоплюватися усім талановитим. За словами І. Чендея, критика – не прокурор і не сектор нагородження відзнаками. Розглядаються висловлювання І. Чендея про специфіку драми, у якій важлива роль належить ситуаціям, дії, характерам. У полі зору митця – композиція і сюжет, які повинні бути «стрункими і вродливими», обов’язкова художня де- таль, що надає образності й лаконізму. Зроблено висновок, що І. Чендей у щоденникових записах торкався багатьох проблем літературознавства, думки про мистецтво доповнюють його творче обличчя, вони не втратили свого значення. Abstract. The article is devoted to the of literary studies in I. Chendey’s diaries. An analysis of his statements about the main functions of fiction, its national identity, specificity, and place among other types of art was made. Considerable attention is paid to judgments about the reader’s perception of a work of art, recommendations to repeatedly reread highly artistic texts, education of aesthetic tastes, criticism of vulgar and sociological approaches to art. I. Chendey emphasized that only an artistically educated person can enjoy art. I. Chendey’s interpretations of talent, natural giftedness are considered, the components of talent are characterized, in particular, diligence, because great art has always been accompanied by great work, the ability to feel the power and beauty of words, hear its melody and sound, see colors and tones, the ability to penetrate into the mysterious world of the human soul, to give an objective assessment of complex phenomena and processes, to see the difficult and the great in the simple and insignificant. Mention is made of the writer’s critical judgments about ineptitude and sleight of hand. According to I. Chendey, it is «difficult and painful» among talentless and graphomaniacal talent. Attention is paid to the secrets of artistic creativity, the creative process, which is full of tension, mobilization of forces and at the same time great joy. I. Chendey’s thoughts on freedom of creativity, lack of the right to artistic self-expression, “shackles of regulations”, according to the writer, harm art and destroy talents are analyzed. The question of literary criticism is raised, which should raise the writer, teach the reader to see the beautiful, the ability to enjoy the content and form of the work of art. It is emphasized that a literary critic, like a writer, must be a sensitive and emotional person, able to admire all the talented. According to I. Chendey, criticism is not the prosecutor’s office and not the awarding sector. I. Chendey’s statements about the specifics of drama, in which situations, actions, and characters play an important role, are considered. In the artist’s field of vision is the composition and the plot, which must be “slender and beautiful”, an obligatory artistic detail that provides imagery and conciseness. It was concluded that I. Chendey touched on many problems of literary studies in his diary entries, thoughts about art complement his creative face, they have not lost their significance.
