Abstract

Cervicitis occupies а special рІасе in the structure of diseases of the uterine cervix. Its etiology and pathogenesis has been so far controversial. The occurrence of cervicitis in reproductive females follows prior inflammations of the uterus and appendage, impaired menstrual function; chemical exposures and injuries are аІsо of great importance. Comprehensive study in CIN involves clinical, colposcopic, cytological, morphological, bacterioscopic and bacteriological methods. Many different treatments for cervicitis have been proposed. At present, the most effective treatments for CIN are diathermoconization therapy and especially interferon medication.
