| Abstract: | The ability of earlier described sulfate-reducing bacteria from Yavoriv sulfur carrier to use the organic compounds was investigated. The donors of electrons for these bacteria were lactate, ethanol, fumarate, malate, citrate and glucose. Bacteria didn't use formate, acetate, stearate, oleate and benzoate. All investigated cultures used H2 as electron donor. All bacteria produced acetaie on the media with lactate, glucose and ethanol. Obtained results testify that 15 available strains of bacteria belong to one species Desulfovibrio desulfuricans. |
