Морфологічна характеристика мієлінових нервових волокон при периферійній нейропатії, викликаній цисплатином

Abstract

The experiments on 40 rats with the application of computer morphometry methods have revealed the regularities of morphogenesis and pathomorphology of cisplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy. It has been established to bе the primary axonopathy and three stages саn bе marked out in its morphogenesis. The first stage (the 4th day after the cisplatin admini­stration in а cumulative dose 18 mg/kg) is characterized bу non-specific reaction of myelinated nerve fibres which is based on the osmotic equilibrium disturbance. The second stage of 1-2 weeks of duration is characterized bу some stabilization of nerve fibre's structure and this is the representation of compensation mechanisms activation and neuron adaptation. The third stage ( 14-31 days after the last cisplatin administration) is characterized bу progressive alterations of both axis cylinders and myelin sheath. Cisplatin-induced neuropathy is been formed during І month and it is completed with wrinkling and stable deformation of axis cylinders that is combined with sufficiently expressed demyelinization or hypertrophy (hyperplasia) of myelin sheath.
