Abstract

The article deals with the pragmatic analysis trends and speech commu­nication units that are inherent in modern linguistic investigations. Three basic approaches to the treatment of linguistic pragmatics as а special discipline that includes the notion of meaning, context and communication are characterized. Various analysis schemes of COJ:).Crete speech acts are suggested that occur not chaotically but according to certain typical ways of interaction. The author comes to the conclusion that any speech action is the realization of а speaker's surface and deep intentions.
