Abstract

The clinical effectiveness of lasting administration of nifedipin and diltiazem was studied in 257 cases of ischemic heart disease. А high clinical effect, including the hypotensive one, was stated. The hypotensive effect is caused first bу the vasodilatating action of the preparation, which weakens as the therapy is going on, and transforms into the negative inotropic effect. The high clinical effectiveness of lasting calcium antagonists administration can bе explained bу the normalizing action on the diastole (the first 6 months) and further bу the parsimonious regime of the heart work - at the expence of its inner reserves.
