Функціональний стан гіпофізарно-тиреоїдної системи у хворих на алкоголізм в залежності від екологічно обумовленої йодної забезпеченості

Abstract

Alcoholism is accompanied bу intensive loss of iodine with urine being responsible for the increase of iodine deficiency in the organism and favours the formation of the increased Т 4 pool in patients under the iodine sufficiency. In case of ecologically conditioned iodine deficiency Т4 content also increases as to the proper test findings. The depletion of the iodine reserves in the blood and consequently in the organism of the patients with alcoholism as well as the increase of Тз level in the blood and its possible negative after-effects proved to bе good reasons for the expediency of the iodine correction alongside with conventional treatment.
