| Короткий огляд (реферат): | Gender is understood as a socio-cultural construct, which is based on biological sex, but also covers a set of language, speech, behavioral, personal characteristics, roles and images, which are regarded as in the society as inherent in men and women and determine their social status. Every culture clearly differentiates human behavior according to sex, prescribing people certain roles, behavior, feelings and emotions. In this sense, to be a man or a woman does not mean to possess certain natural qualities but to adhere to certain social expectations, prescnbed by society to a person on the basis of the 'gender rules". |
