| Abstract: | The article deals with the correlation between the quantity of meanings in an English polysemantic adjective and its belonging to a certain semantic category through the ''chi-square'' criterion and mutual collocability quotient K. The influence of the adjectives semantic polential upon this correlation is shown. |
